The Mongolian national FHIR Implementation Guide serves as a guiding document for all systems that are to communicate with the Mongolian Health Information Exchange Platform (HIEP).

Together with the HL7 FHIR specification it describes both information models that are to be communicated, required data that is to be passed between systems and interfaces that are to be called when communicating information across systems.

The guide acts as a blueprint and supporting documentation for the HIEP project in the implementation of interfaces, data models and workflows.

Finally, the Implementation guide is a conformance specification for systems handling data within the Mongolian health sector and which produce or consume health related data through the HIEP.
